In Ana's Own Words
Hi everyone

"My name is Anna and I am completing 12 years in the Karmiel Children's Village this year. I came to the village together with my five siblings after the situation at home was difficult and my parents had difficulty raising us.

I arrived in the village at the age of six when I am very afraid of how it is possible to break away from home and grow up in a house with 11 other children and a new pair of parents in the mishpachton.

I joined the elementary school and started my new life in the village, the village for me is home and it gave me everything I needed as a little girl, I was wrapped in warmth and I joined the village band and performed in front of a large audience with a lot of self-confidence.

My older brothers enlisted in the army and I grew up to high school age, I graduated with a high school diploma and now I am preparing to be drafted into the army as a soldier in the Border Guard.

Even during the army I will continue to live in the village as a lone soldier for three years until I am released, and when I finish my service the village will help me with a scholarship for university studies.

The children's village is a warm and loving place, I will always remember that the staff at the village were there for me at all times and accompanied me, my parents love the village very much and the staff has been in contact with them throughout the years.

I want to thank you for supporting the village in these difficult days of war in Israel, for the sake of the little children who are now growing up in the village."
